Terrible Topic Equals Terrible Book Secured transactions is one of the worst courses in law school. You deal with Article 9 of the UCC which reads similar to the TAX CODE and deals with commercial law that will frustrate and bore you to death. This book is one of the few Ive seen that you can’t get a corresponding supplement for to help with the tons of ridiculously hard problems so I don’t recommend it but you will probably be stuck with it if your professor chooses to require this text. Good Luck

Tough subject, helpful book This book was great for my UCC Article 9 law course. Only thing I do not like about it is that the book does not have an answer section to the problems. For almost all of the problems it points the user to the correct section of the UCC for guidance but it does NOT supply the answer. Without a professor to clear up issues, the user may run into some problems.

Nice guide to get started on UCC9 The book is pretty slim, so it’s not too heavy to carry. I learned a lot through this book, since I did not know anything about UCC9 before. The Octupus Bank constantly being the lender in the hypothetical throughout the book does get a bit annoying though towards the end.
